1966 ROVER Series 1 2000SC P6 FOR SALE

Regrettably I am now selling my beloved Zircon blue Rover 2000. have owned the car for over ten years and it has never, ever let me down. are in the process of moving house and have to leave our home by the end of the month. have also just had our first child so unfortunately the Rover has to go which is why there is this starting price with no reserve.

It has hardly done any mileage in the last few years but has ran well whenever it has been driven. will be supplied with a new M.O.T from my local main dealer.

I am only the third owner of the car and know the mileage to be totally genuine having old M.O.T's and a motor heritage certificate, plus the original service book with stamps for services carried out in be 1960's. also have photographs of it being restored during the 1990's. The car is still wearing the original supplying dealer plates on the passenger door tread from the Northamptonshire area.

The paintwork is very nice in my opinion and polishes up gorgeously as far as I am concerned, although it is not perfect. chrome is good, having replaced both bumpers when I bought the car. interior is probably the worst part of the car but has a nice platina to it, which is why I have never replaced it. I have another buckskin leather interior that can come with the car if desired although it is in a similar condition.

The car is still running on Dunlop brakes and is one of a few cars left in the country that still is. are Jaguar brakes

and are still widely available. always get high praise from the M.O.T tester. actually replaced the rear pods a few years ago. the last few M.O.T's have not produced any advisories.

This is the most original P6 that I have seen barring the series two brake fluid reservoir. has no known faults to my knowledge and has no known rust to my knowledge. steering is a little vague but never causes a problem when tested. The tyres have never been replaced since I have owned the car and I would have changed these if I were to keep the vehicle. are no cracks or anything though. car has always been garaged during and my ownership and also the previous owner.

Parts replaced during my ownership:

Brand new exhaust manifold.

Brand new front and rear exhaust pieces.

Brand new petrol reserve tap.

Brand new rear brake pods.

New rear brake pads.

Carburettor kit fitted.

Brand new door weather seals.

Brand new gear stick with acorn and new gaiter.

New under bonnet decals

Always serviced, new antifreeze and oil and filter recently changed.

Bumpers replaced with ones with better chrome.

I have hardly driven this car in the last three years but have always kept him M.O.T'd and ready to drive when needed. such the car may have faults that i do not know about. car affectionately known as 'Roger' by my family and the previous owner now has to find a new home. car needs to be moved within five days of the end of auction and cash on collection. have been as honest as possible.

Absolutely no time wasters please and you bid to buy not to have a look and kick the tyres. Although I would describe the car as in excellent condition for the year, the car is sold as seen. .
